RESUME REBELSJeanne Pappas Simon Jeanne is a co-writer of Your Resume Sucks! and is president of YourResumeSucks.biz. Her web site offers career-enhancing books, DVDs, and CDs; plus free stuff to download like forms, budgets and podcasts. Her more creative endeavors have been successful as well. The Gen X network she co-developed and co-wrote for Turner Broadcasting was approved by Scott Sassa. She won two international awards for The Winkles, an animated short she created and wrote for preschoolers. She also co-wrote and co-developed the award-winning animated shorts Suburban Cinderella and Timmy’s Lessons in Nature. Timmy’s Lessons In Nature won the Grand Prize in Nicktoons inaugural animation festival. Her lecture, The Animator’s Guide to Face Reading, was met with enthusiasm at the 2006 Animex Festival in Teesside Valley, UK. Jeanne was also named one of the Top 40 Under 40 business people in Central Florida for her achievements in business and her contributions to the community. Mark Simon Mark is a business man with a talent for the arts. He has been an award-winning author, illustrator, film and TV art director, special effects designer, magazine publisher, business owner, animator, storyboard artist, lecturer, producer and director. Mark has written three top-selling entertainment industry books, Facial Expressions, Producing Independent 2D Character Animation and Storyboards: Motion In Art, Editions 1,2 & 3 and writes monthly business articles for Animation Magazine and AWN.com as well as articles for other periodicals. One of his companies, Animatics & Storyboards, Inc., is the largest storyboard house in the Southern United States, and his other company A&S Animation, Inc. has won over 40 international awards. He has written, directed and produced award-winning animations such as Timmy’s Lessons In Nature, Suburban Cinderella, and A Message From God. His design and illustration work have been seen in Disney’s The Waterboy, Steven Spielberg/NBC’s seaQuest DSV, many Nickelodeon series, and numerous comedy and science fiction series and feature films. He has over 20 years of business experience of both getting hired from his resume and hiring others from their resumes on over 2,500 productions. In 1999 he was voted one of the top 40 business people under 40 in Central Florida. Mark has also taught at the University of Central Florida and currently teaches at the Digital Animation and Visual Effects School (DAVE School) located at Universal Studios, Florida. Dr. Jim Irvine currently works for Nissan North America and has designed many of the internal and external selection systems currently in use. He has a thorough understanding of resumes and the selection process.
